MEET THE SCANNER
The meaning behind the numbers.
Scanner Pro v2 helps organise a daily market review: compare selected instruments in one table instead of opening many charts. The analysis draws on Larry Williams approaches through PAUNCH, COT Proxy and Williams Vix Fix, complemented by ROC, CCI, Stochastic and a DeMark block. The scanner shows matching conditions and highlights candidates for further study. It is a watchlist tool, not automated trading: open each shortlisted instrument on its chart and assess it separately.
- Two preset lists of 30 instruments
- Manual list of up to 32 slots
- Seven BUY conditions and additional columns
- Filters, data status and alerts
One list, two observation scales
For each enabled slot the scanner requests daily D1 and weekly W1 data. Preset list A is split into two lists of 30 instruments. Only the selected list is calculated at a time, not all 60 slots. Switching lists restarts calculation for that instance.
Manual mode supports up to 32 slots with your own symbols, captions and A, B or C groups. Disable unnecessary slots and apply filters. Table pages only change the view of an already calculated list; they do not scan the entire exchange or increase calculation capacity.
Reading BUY out of seven
The total comprises seven checks: ROC W1, Larry Williams COT Proxy W1, PAUNCH W1, Williams Vix Fix W1, CCI W1, DeMark D1 and DeMark W1. Each adds at most one point. Additional COT Proxy D1, PAUNCH D1 and Stochastic on both periods provide context but do not enter the total.
For example, 4/7 means four matching conditions with all seven checks ready. It is neither a success probability nor a buy instruction. If checks are incomplete, the total is not replaced with zero: incompleteness and the number of known BUY conditions are shown separately. Simultaneous DeMark BUY and SELL are explicit; the seven-condition score is not a symmetrical sell ranking.
COT Proxy, also called Stock COT, is a calculated proxy for the behaviour of large commercial market participants, following the Larry Williams approach. It is an indirect estimate, not actual positions from official CFTC reports. This scanner uses the proxy: a change in its value does not prove that commercial operators actually opened a corresponding position size.
Rule settings and DeMark events
Periods and thresholds are configurable. Comparisons are strict: a value exactly on a threshold does not qualify. For DeMark select the profile and events 9, 13 and 9–13–9. By default, five completed bars are considered: event ages 0 through 4 relative to the last bar used.
This finds recorded events within a window; it does not confirm that an earlier 13 remains valid after every subsequent price change. Hiding columns, colours and visual sorting do not change the seven checks. The inverse-pair marker warns about instrument direction; directions and scores are not automatically inverted.
Completed bars and data quality
The current table uses previous completed daily and weekly calculation bars. A new reading may only arrive when the next source period begins, so a delay is possible immediately after a session or week closes. Tooltips and optional columns show the dates used.
Stale data, invalid symbols, insufficient history and DeMark calculation limits are identified separately. History depth per period is configurable; changing the source, session or available history can alter results. This is a current-state table, not an archive of old signals that follows the historical chart cursor.
Filtering, styling and new candidates
Filter groups, BUY or SELL rows, mixed DeMark events or data problems; sort by the number of conditions or list order. Configure columns, order, widths, captions, six independent text sizes and row heights, colours and table position. The table is controlled through settings, rather than edited like a spreadsheet.
Alerts are disabled by default. Enable them and then create a separate TradingView alert. All enabled slots are checked, not just the visible page. Notifications concern a new candidate transition across the selected threshold when source data updates. The initial state after startup is not a new event. Recreate active alerts after changing settings.
Before starting a trial
Open a standard time-based chart from one minute through daily; the suggested starting interval is hourly. D1 and W1 calculations do not mean running the scanner on a weekly chart. Each preset list needs up to 60 unique requests and the full manual set up to 64, requiring TradingView Ultimate for that mode. With a 40-request budget, enable no more than 20 manual slots.
A compatible plan alone does not guarantee sufficient speed or memory for every history. Begin with a small manual set and compare results on individual charts. The supplied build imports seven private calculation libraries, so we confirm startup in your account before granting access. Pine settings are in Russian; shop translations do not change the script language.
What you receive
Scanner access for the selected period and stated TradingView username, with email support. Before the trial starts, we agree on startup, required permissions and a compatible list mode. Source code and separate subscriptions to other indicators are not included.
An independent Student Wyckoff implementation combining Larry Williams approaches, additional oscillators and a DeMark block. COT Proxy estimates commercial-operator behaviour following the Williams approach. The build uses seven calculation libraries; startup and customer-account compatibility are checked before delivery.
